Ash, Ghosts, and Echoes: Unveiling Cultural Memory through Scorched Narratives

In a world we are constantly bombarded by a myriad of images and narratives, my artistic endeavors seek to unravel the intricate threads that compose the tapestry of cultural memory. These pieces explore the darker hues of immigration, systemic racism, social dynamics, and the complex interplay of religion in our collective consciousness.

“These pieces explore the darker hues of immigration, systemic racism, social dynamics, and the complex interplay of religion in our collective consciousness.”

The deliberate act of scorching the paper mirrors the often harsh realities of the themes I seek to unravel. Through this visceral technique, I strive to expose the layers of societal constructs that shape our understanding of the world. The fire becomes a metaphor for the trials and tribulations inherent in the human experience, the ash leaving behind remnants that bear witness to the passage of time and the indelible marks left by the stories we tell.
